Age is not a deciding factor. Speak with a lender to have them go over qualifications in your area. Best of luck in your home search!

If you qualify you can get a loan, therefore visit with any licensed loan officer; be aware that a mortgage pre-approval letter is required in order to determine your price range and for any offers to be taken seriously.

The correct answer to the question you intended to ask which is, "Does my age mater in getting a home loan?" the answer would be:
" No, it does not matter."

If the folks you are chatting with can not describe these loan products you should know you are not working with someone with a good set of tools.

Not at all. You can check with any loan company to see what you qualify for and it will be based on your income and ability to pay. The best thing to do is talk to a lender and get an idea what you can afford, get pre-approved and then start your home search.

Not at all.

When buying a home, the best place to start is to hire an Exclusive Buyer Agent. EBAs only work with homebuyers and there is never a conflict of interest that will jeopardize your negotiating position. I'm an Exclusive Buyer Agent representing homebuyers in the Dallas area and I'd be happy to assist you.

I've written a best selling book called Buying a Home: Don't Let Them Make a Monkey Out of You. It'll teach you how to buy a home without getting ripped off. Follow the link below.

Best of luck!

No it should not. It has to do with what you can afford, regardless of age. Checjk with a loan officer to see what you can afford to purchase. 58 is young!

Age is not a factor in obtaining a mortgage loan. You can be 95 years old and apply for a 30 year mortgage. As long as you can qualify as far as your income, credit and debt ratio you can get the loan.

Hope this helps. Call if you would like to discuss. I broker with over 15 of the top wholesale lenders in the country.

I think that would be age discrimination if it mattered.
I think my grandpa was about 75 when he got his last home loan.

There might be several different options you might consider.

Age alone does not matter. Other factors such as income and credit score are of importance. I recently helped a single lady of the same age buy a home in the Dallas area. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
