The Snake River is not prone to flooding. In SE Idaho near Shelley there was a flood in 2011, but very untypical. Our winters are usually in the 20 - 30 degree Fahrenheit range throughout in the Valley. This winter we've had some unusually cold days that dropped below zero in the evening, but again very untypical to see it get that cold around here. The distance between Payette and Nampa is around 45 miles or a 50 minute drive.
