Does anyone know why a MLS number disappears? I'm interested in a house that was listed 8 days ago but now the MLS is no longer available:

To Amy and Dan, If this was taken off the market, does that mean it's sold or is it going into the foreclosure process? Thanks!

This home is a short sale and was temporarily taken off the market. If you are considering buying a short sale, I would highly recommend reading this:

Short sales are much different than traditional transactions, so it is best to at least have realistic expectations on the process. Best of luck to you.

I saw this house the day before, and was planning to get the rest of the family to see it when they come up to Cleveland, but now I don't even know if it's pending or sold OTL...

Yes. The MLS # was in your question, so I looked it up. It has been "temporarily taken off the market". When it will return is something to ask the listing agent. If you have a realtor, ask them to check it out for you. If not, I can do that as well. Or, you can call the list agent yourself. Don't forget, though, that if you want representation, and have an intention of seeing it and/or buying it, you might want your own Realtor to protect your interests. Up to you.

Most likely it is because the home is under contract in the pending status. Please feel free to call me and I will be happy to look it up for you.
