medium dog (45 lb). We are thinking about taking a job in Kahuku and need to find a place to live that isn't >$500,000 that allows dogs.
Aloha Alisa,
I know our complex does, Turle Bay Resort's Kuilima Estates.
I am selling my one bedroom with HUGE loft for $377k and will be owner financing it due to the fact that few people can actually get loans.
Aloha,
Sam

Aloha,
So here are a few more complexes:
Mokuleia Sands (no pets; only for eye-seeing)
Mokuleia Country Homes (written approval by Board of Directors, does not indicate size; weight)
Mokuleia Beach Apts. (no pets)
Mokuleia Beach Colony (written approval by Board of Directors, does not indicate size; weight)
There are still a few property managers that need to get back to me. Hopefully some of them have a pet policy that will accomodate your pets.

Aloha,
I've contacted the property managers for all the current available for sale Fee Simple condos on the North Shore under $500,000 and am waiting for a return call from most of them. I can tell you, one complex, Puu Iki Hale will only allow pets with prior approval from the Board of Directors.
I will post more answers when I hear back from the property managers.

The best way to search is on Craigslist. It has a checkbox for pets.
If you send me details, I can do a search in MLS. This is the REALTOR database. It also has a filter for places with pets.
I need to know number of bedrooms, price, and location (e.g. Haleiwa to Punalu'u). I don't get a commission or handle rentals, so contact the agents directly from that list.
About a year ago, the Hawaii Humane Society had a list of pet friendly buildings. I guess it's too labor intensive to maintain it, since it's not updated any longer.
