I have never heard of them - make sure when you research them you see if they were working before under a different company. It is an old builders trick to go belly up, change your name, and start building again. At that point, you have to worry about how your escrow money is handled by the builder. Local builders do tend to have a little more pride in construction, which means it should cost more. If it does not, then they are probably cutting some corners! But that is what a home inspector is for and an agent who has handled 100s of new home sales is for!
