The subway is a significant walk from there, but there are nearby busses which will take you to the last stop on the 4 train in 5-10 mins. If you are getting a monthly subway card, it will work with the bus as well. The express bus to midtown Manhattan is also convenient, but much more pricey.

Woodlawn is a fantastic area overall, truly a safehaven and anomaly in the Bronx.

How are you? I am in the process of selling a unit at 4320 Van Cortlandt Park East. The couple I showed it to fell in love immediately, and for many reasons. For one, they really liked the unit but another perk for them was that it is within walking distance to express and city busses, shopps and restaurants. The building is very appealing because Van Cortlandt Park is directly across the street which makes for a nice rural setting. There is no alternate side of the street parking so if you have a car and decide to park on the street you don't have to worry about moving it early in the morning.

I have been communicating a great deal with the managing company for the building and have received nothing but positive reports and feed back. This building has a good reputation. If you have any more questions or would like some more information I would be more than happy to accomodate you.
