Lake Geneva IS a very desirable area altogether. Finding the neighborhood that fits your lifestyle needs may be more important. Of course the lakefront areas will all be exceptionally desired if you are a boater or water person. Geneva National, Grand Geneva, or Fontana are great neighborhoods for golfers and nature lovers.
The downtown neighborhoods have the excitement of being close to shops, restaurants, the lake and nightlife activities. The neighborhoods by the schools will be more family oriented with many little ones in the area which is great for the neighborhood kool-aid moms. So as you can see, Lake Geneva is a desirable community in all aspects with something for everyone. You just need to decide which lifestyle area would be more pleasing to you. Good luck.
