Hi Roxanne,

I have been working in Riverdal for almost 10 years and I know the building well. Rey's info is techhnically correct, but understand that it is one of the most sought after buildings in Riverdale. Also, it has one of the most rigotous board application processes in Riverdale (which has many buildings that are very difficult to get into.) Even though there are no official income requirements, expect that your debt to income should follow the 28%-36% rule and after you have put your 20% down you should have significant assets in the bank, 401K and investments. Most of the apartments have River views, the building is generally well maintained, there is usually parking available for owners, there is a seasonal pool and it is walking distance to Metro North and the express bus to manhattan. Let me know if you have any other questions. It is hard to answer fully without knowing your specific needs and concerns. Please feel free to call me at 917-974-2600 or email me at joegreene@weichert.com .

The building is called River Terrace. It is a coop. The management requires 20% down payments. No income requirement. Board approval is required. Renting is allowed. Dogs are allowed so bring Fido. There are about four available units for sale right now. Three 1-beds and one 2-bed.

Do you mean the River Terrace Apartments there?

There's a NYTimes article about the neighborhood, Spuyten Duyvil, linked below

I do also see a few references [from unverified sources] that indicate that construction workers who built the building may have been exposed to high levels of asbestos, which may be worth investing the outcome of before buying there
