The neighborhood itself is not that bad, but the surrounding neighborhoods are not favorable. Obviously, this means there is a good chance for crimes like burglary and car break-ins. The neighborhood is zoned for very good schools though, which is great if you have children.

River Breeze itself is a very nice family oriented community, I have lived there for the past four years and my neighbors are wonderful. There are a lot of short sales right now because of the bad economy, people bought there when the homes where in the high $100's and the development closed out selling in the high $200's so you have to take that into account into why there are so many short sales. Also, there are a lot of military people who have had orders that needed to move.

As for John's response below, I am sorry that he has had the experience but like any neighborhood anywhere you need to either lock your vehicle and bring your valuables inside from your car or that is going to happen. The same goes for your garage, if you leave temptation out there it doesn't matter where you live, people are going to steal. As for having your home broken into, we have an alarm system and neighbors that keep an eye on things and haven't had a problem.

Right now you can get some good deals in the neighborhood. There is a one car garage model for sale next door to me for sale that I love. They have the formal living room, formal dining room and then the big family room in the back of the house. It is a great price for only $218,500!

There are currently 11 houses in the Multiple Listing Service for River Breeze priced from 214500 to 271900. Three are currently pending listed from 224000 to 225500.
