As others below have said, no it is not required. But before you ask an agent to search for a home, please go get a pre-appoval from a reputable lender.

Good luck!

No, a pre-approval is not necessary when attending an open house; however you really should be, one should be aware that a mortgage pre-approval letter is required in order to determine your price range and for any offers to be taken seriously.

It is not required tat you be pre-qualified to attend an open house BUT... it is a good idea to get pre-qualified before looking for a home. A pre-qualifier helps you know the right price range for yoor search, gives you and the seller confidence in your ability to obtain a mortgage if you like the home you are visiting and helps you to know the costs to obtain financing and downpayment requirements- ALL VERY VALUABLE INFORMATION. I can help connect you with a loan officer to get started

Tira,

No, you do not need to be pre-approved to attend an open house, but it would help knowing if you are qualified for a certain price point. If you wish to see a home that is not scheduled for an open house, most realtors will ask that you be pre-qualified first.

I can help you with pre-qualification now or at any time that is convenient for you. Please call 685-9696 today!
