Do houses that were for sale in REO, generally sell for less when they go to auction?

I agree with Tanya. I have seen some homes that are dated and need work surprisingly sell for more at auctions.

thank you, we are moving from the bay area to pittsburgh and having difficulity getting answers and asking questions of sellers realtor. calls go to voicemail that is not answered until a few days later, causing us to miss our window to put in an offer before house went to auction. answers we do get are short..

Not necessarily. If enough people are made aware of it and bid on it, it could sell for more than what it was listed for.

do you know how long it takes for a house to go from listing to auction? and whats the best way to find out? realtor having trouble finding info.

on a quit claim deed, can the winner of the auction still obtain a regular deed?

Generally when purchasing homes through an auction, you are buying as-is, where-is. Take heed and research the property before purchasing to see if there are any outstanding liens you may possibly inherit with the property.
