Many of the homes have been rolled over on to the tax rolls by previous owners so you might have to. These are personal property taxes on the homes only, not the land. I am talking about homes in parks only. The newer homes 1980 and newer are taxed. Once they started doing that, homes were able to have loans and also people could write off the interested as a home owner. HCD took it over from DMV. During the real estate boom, the sales tax on some of these homes was very high so people had a choice to put it on the tax roll, once that was done, it now stays on forever.
Be sure and check with HCD or an escrow officer to make sure. Otherwise you just pay sales tax and always registration yearly.
