Different areas in Summit - how they rate and appreciate

My question is about Summit - Are there different areas/sections in Summit, if yes what are they? How do these areas rate - especially for single family homes? Are there different school districts and do they affect these sections and their ratings? Any comments about the Druid Hill road area?

Hi Sonia,

Excellent questions & you've got a lot of terrific information from Paul. One more thing I would like to add...you will find ratings on specific schools through these great websites:
GreatSchools: http://www.greatschools.net./
New Jersey Department of Education: http://education.state.nj.us/rc/
You can also find these sites from my website http://www.TaraDreamHomes.com

Any more questions, I'm glad to help!
Best of luck,
Tara

Sonia,

Like most other towns in the area there are different districts in Summit as well. Homes on the market range from properties in the eastern section of town that start in the $400K range, to multi million dollar properties in several other sections. Where you buy is really a function of what your budget is.

As diverse as Summit is, the services provided are available to all residents. There are five elementary schools, two of which are also new Primary Centers. There is one junior high, and one senior high. Of the five elementary schools all are rated very well, and are administered by the same school board.

Druid Hill Road is in one of the upscale neighborhoods, and is in the Brayton (Elementary) School section. Brayton is a short distance away, and, like the other schools, is well regarded. I may be a bid biased as two of my sisters all went to that school.

Long and short of it is you will not make a mistake buying a home in Summit.
