DID YOU KNOW SELLING A MOBILE HOME IS JUST LIKE SELLING A CAR & ALL YOU NEED IS A "BILL OF SALE"?

Asked by Deborah Rogers, Boynton Beach, FL Wed Nov 3, 2010

Mobile homes are re-titled and registered at the DMV. Bill of sale only required.

I own a noble home but not the lot. And its too old to be moved. What do I need to do to sell my mobile home?

Yup! You do not have property tax on this one, only personal tax. I hope all of the green stuff you saved by not paying the high property taxes adds to your comforts! Cheers!

Yes, I knew that. If there is no land involved, then it is not a real estate transaction. We've got lots of "used car" sales around where I live.

Some banks will finance Mobile homes on lots - but they have to have the wheels removed and affixed to some type of permanent (Usually Block) foundation.

You should get a TITLE signed over from the seller with the bill of sale...

If the mobile home has a foundation it is treated like any other property.
