The only problem is i'm very young and my credit isn't built up very high. What should I do? I really dislike living in apartments....
It is a tremendous time for you to investigate the opportunity to buy while the prices and mortgage rates are most affordable. I have included link(s) for you below.

Hi there
Your first step is to speak with a local reputable lender to find out exactly where you stand in terms of qualifying. Lack of credit, while it may represent challenges, is usually better than poorly managed credit. But is looks like you've saved up some $$ and hopefully you have a stable income. Credit, income, and down payment determine how much you qualify for, and what sort of programs you are eligible for.
I'd be glad to walk you through the pre-qualification process. Feel free to call me at 313-622-7383 or email me at anthony.grech@bankofamerica.com

Good morning Homebuyer!
Thank you for your question. First thing you need to do is speak with a reputable mortgage consultant. I have several recommendations for you. Let's see how your credit looks through a lender's eye. Only then will we truly know what you will qualify for or what you need to do to get there. If you're a first time home buyer, and it sounds like you are, the clock is ticking on the 1st time home buyer tax credit of $8000. It would be great to be able to take advantage of this wonderful program. This money can be used for so many things ... home renovation, furniture, appliances for your new home ... whatever you may need.
You can visit m website and search in the privacy of your own home the multilist just like Realtors do to get a better feel for what the market is like in the are you're looking and price range. Just visit: http://www.ClickThisHome.com or contact me directly at LisaBender@kw.com and I will get you set up myself in the system so you can see what's available as well as give you the name of mortgage people you should contact.
In the meantime, here is one of my great listings located in Waterford. Jjust click the link to the virtual tour:
