Did you end up building a house yet? I am in the same boat as you were back in ay 2010. If you can gone through this process, can you share with me your experiences? I am looking at the same exact size s you did back then.
The cost to build is going to vary greatly depending on level of construction (ex. block home vs. wood frame), level of finishes and materials( ex. hardwood or travertine flooring vs. carpet) and the builder. Like most other services, you typically "get what you pay for" and the level of the Builder's expertise, as well as the Builder's fees will vary greatly. Our preferred Vendors webpage is http://www.smithandassociates.com/preferred_vendors/ , which whill provide a few contractors we have worked with in the past. Also, check out http://www.tbba.net, Tampa Bay Builders Association, for a list of local builders. My partner and I have worked with many South Tampa builders on various projects over the years, and have references on file for many of them. We would be happy to even set up an interview with several of the local and well established builders, along with portfolios of their homes. Most reputable builders begin pricing at $125 per square foot to as high as $350 per square foot, we would be happy to help naviagate you through this process, as wehave done with many of our happy clients. Feel free to review us on our testimonial page on http://www.SouthTampaMoves.com. Hope this helps, you can always reach us at 813.892.7907. Warmly, Rick
