Considering buying in Shannon Station/Keen Mill Village in Springfield VA.

Do you recommend buying there? Is that a good area, decent HOA? Thank you.

Every neighborhood has its pros and cons and should be evaluated based on your needs. If you are working with an agent they can help you look at all of the properties available in the area, show you the history of sales and show you both the long and short term value of the homes. To understand the HOA you will need to review the documents to determine what they cover in the HOA fees and look at the current budget to see if they have enough funds to continue to provide services to the community. Whether it is a "good area" or not is subjective and not an answer that a Realtor can legally provide.
