Centerpointe in League City, TX does not seem to have a MUD tax, does that mean that it has a PID?

Greg is right. Paying off the PID is a negotiable item. The Buyer could request the Seller to pay it off at Closing...they don't have to agree to that, but they just might! ;)

Yes there is a PID. However most PIDs are set up for a 15 year period and if you buy a used home and they owners have paid on it for 5 years already, then there would only be 10 years left for that property. One thing to keep in mind is that PIDs are designed to have a end date to be paid in full, MUDs can be re-issued. PIDs can be paid upfront or in full as well by the home owners. You do not have to pay it over time unless you want to.

It is supposed to be located in PID #3, so it does have a PID.

Yes Centerpoint does have a PID, but it's a great subdivision with probably 12--14 years left on it. The cost is around $100 per month. The tax rate there is $2.56 per hundred dollar value...which is low.

not necessarily...it is showing that Centerpointe is not a Masterplanned Community. Some of the newest construction is showing that this community is a PID... Not a PUD or MUD.
