Do you want to buy the home or are you looking to get out of the home? If you love the home and want to make sure it is in good condition, New Jersey requires that all Home Inspectors be licensed. Ask your Realtor to refer three inspectors. Call them all and make your decision. Understand that you should not be concerned with cosmetic items, but structural, heating, a/c plumbing and electrical as well as roof. They should be the concerns.
