Can someone tell me where the nice areas of Lancaster are?

Looking for a good place to find land and build.

Nice areas should be defined and dictated by personal preferences, wants, needs, lifestyle, etc.; therefore visit areas of interest more than once, then choose the neighborhood that best suits your needs. Also consider working with an agent of your own, he/she will be your best guide.

There are many beautiful areas in Lancaster and really it does come down to preference and obviously, what you can afford. There are areas with easier access to things, areas that are closer to schools and parks or areas that are away from it all. Figure out what your definite "wants" are and then go from there with your agent.

It's obviously personal preference, but check out the Woodgate/WIllow Ridge developments. They are Morrano homes and very well maintained. Most of them built between 1992 & 1996.

I don't disagree with any of the areas mentioned by Mcallahan1 and have some experience in one of those neighborhoods if you're interested in discussing.

Also, before any potential home buyer begins looking, you should be pre-qualified first to be sure it's something that will fit into lender guidelines in terms of income, debt-ratios, etc.

Please do not hesitate to call at anytime. I would be happy to discuss my experience as well as your mortgage options.

As always, you should also have a good realtor assisting you in your search and potential bid and, if interested, I can help you in that regard too.

For families who like old school, the Court St Elementary area down Pleasant Ave. in the village is nice. For the upper class people, Windsor Ridge off William and/or the new area of Pavement off Broadway and Summerfield Farms off Bowen Ave. are your best bet.

Have an open @ 145 & 147 Pleasant View tomorrow, 2 homes on 1.5 acres, you can live in the back house tear down the front, and then rebuild, when your house is finished you can move in and rent the back, collect 900 a mos for your mortgage.... Stop by and take a look!

Have an open house tomorrow, 1-3 @ 145 & 147 Pleasantview, you could live in the back house, while they tear down and put your new home up front, then rent the back out for 900 a month, and have your mortgage payment
