Can someone tell me about the Oak Hills area? What is the average price for a good custom built home that is?

nicely landscaped about 5 bds and 2 1/2 bths? Is this a risky area? Is it safe too? Any thoughts? Should I buy now?

Oak Hills is a nice area known for large lots and not quite the distance up the hill that Hesperia and Apple Valley are. There are remarkable opportunities in that area ranging anywhere from $120 per square foot to $140 per square foot for a ranch style newer home built 2000 or newer on at least a half acre but average lot sizes are 2-5 acres. Good investment.

Your looking at 350k average. I consider Oak Hills to be the Beverly Hills of the High Desert. You better have a truck if you move to this area, some of the roads are not develop yet and it snows about 2 weeks out of the year. This past year, didn't snow like previous years but snow season is coming up again, will see how it goes this time around. Is better if you buy now instead of waiting. If the house cycle is correct, within 2 years you will need a triple income in order yo afford one. Take advantage of the extra equity your going to get just in case you want to resell it in a couple of years. I will be happy to help you. Izzy (213) 221-1321. http://izzyla.com

Oak Hills has some of the nicest homes in the Victor Valley. There are several new schools in the area. Many of the homes are built on dirt roads which might deter some buyers. There is a 4000 square foot home, 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, built in 2006 for $399,000.00

Just to add a side note - there is a new middle school for Oak Hills (Cedar Middle) and a new High School is slated to open in August 2009.
