i have been in plainview about 8 years and before that i was in greatneck. for a young couple plainview is much nicer than greatneck and you get more house compare to roslyn and greatnck. good schools and close to all shopping is great in plainview. i am selling my new constructed home in plainview for $900k and if the same house was selling in roslyn it would be priced over $2M with $25k tax a year. if you want more detail you can reach me at mortgage18@optonline.net

Although all of plainview is great - areas above Old Country Rd generally receive a higher valuation - the highest priced homes will be found in the Washington Ave area

Hi, I'm not a realtor, so I can give you an honest answer.

My husband grew up in Plainview, and his parents still live there. It is a GREAT area! It's on the expensive side, but it has medium to large homes, lots of shopping, great school district, and convenient access to Route 135, Northern State, and the LIE. You're close to Bethpage State Park too, and it's just a nice area to live in, in general.

Realtors, by law, are not permitted to comment on neighborhoods or on school districts. We are, however, allowed to be the source of the source.

If you go to http://www.GailGladstone.com, you can click on "neighborhood info" and "school info" for further information.
