The Tower is a high rise as opposed to the Village which is garden apartments. There is a bit of snob appeal associated with a high rise. i.e., higher cost. The Tower units seem to be 2 bedroom and the Village units one bedroom. The Village has a parking pad and the Tower has (some) covered parking. Both are within walking distance of shopping but the Tower is a bit closer.
You will need to personally visit each and compare the quality of maintenance and offered services, especially medical care. Also compare the monthly condo fee for each and what the fee covers. Talk to residents to get their opinions and eat a meal in each, if possible, to get an idea of menu quality. Since these are both Senior facilities is is very important to know the VALUE of the dollars spent as well as the number of dollars spent. A pretty important person will be living there and you want to be very sure they are enjoying an environment that meets all of their needs. Right?
As far as supply/demand is concerned . . . right now there is one "Realtor listed" unit available in the Village (it is a fixer-upper) and no "Realtor listed" units available in the Tower. Neither facility has sold many "Realtor listed" units in the past few years. Again, take a look in person. The differences should be readily apparent.
