Can someone give a ballpark figure for how much money it costs to run utilities to a vacant lot-- one near other houses but yet undeveloped? Thanks!

...thinking of doing a prefab-- love the design and green options.

Give the electric, water, and city a call. They will be able to give you an answer very quickly.

I agree with Alex, call the city. I have heard the City of Hayward is charging upwards of $30,000 to hook up utilities in the Hayward Hills to the city. That's not the cost of installing the water meter or PG&E equipment.

I knew some friends who had to put in a pole once for a tow business they had. They had to buy and install a pole before they could get electricity and back about 20 years ago if I remember right it was about 2000.00 to 2500.00 so I would ball park it now to between 3000.00 to 5000.00
