Hello, if you are a self employed borrower you will generally need 2 years of income documented on your tax returns. If you are getting a W2 it is possible to get a mortgage with only 1 yr of documented income on your tax return if you have had 2 or more years of employment with another company. I'm assuming the 1 yr is with your current company but I can better answer your questions if you call me or email me. My office # is 941-329-4104 and my email is leslie.lauritano@regions.com.

Thanks so much, Leslie Lauritano

Can you be more detailed on just one year tax returns? Are you self employed or just entering the work force? If there is a strong explanation then you could be eligible to purchase. Please contact me at 509-299-7386 if you would like to discuss your situation. You can also visit my website at http://www.mortgagesbyjt.com Best of luck!
