Can foreigner buy HUD House?

I am here with a visting visa, and want to buy a HUD house here. I plan to live in for few months with my daughter. After I left the US, can my daughter keep stay in there with her family? Can I buy it as owner occupanty?

Generally speaking foriegn national can buy re in the US on cash or international financing. However, check on HUD website to make sure HUD is OK with it.

I believe you must be a U.S. Citizen, have cash or have a work visa.

I agree with Brent below that you need to contact HUD. You can try calling them at (800) CALL-FHA (5342). Is your daughter a permanent resident here? Are you buying with cash?

You must live in the house for 3 years to qualify as owner occupied.
