Here are some helpful websites to assist you with your research about this area. The first site will help you to see how many sex offenders there are living in a close proximity to your home. The second is the website for the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. You can contact them to discuss crime rates and statistics and ask pointed questions about the safety of that area. I would strongly encourage you to do this!

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly.

I believe that Trulia has a coding problem. This is not the first time they have sent CA questions to Jacksonville. 16th St. is south of JFK Blvd. in Jacksonville, FL and our San Mateo is miles north of there.

If I'm right, try sending in your question again so CA REALTORS can answer it.

Good Luck,

Both answers are excellent: Realtors are unable to answer those kinds of questions from customers because of all the anti discimination laws on the books. There are, however, plenty of websites that will provide you with objective fact based information that you may interpret yourself. I think it important to note here that the area you are inquiring about is in California, not Jacksonville FL.
There is a neighborhood in Jacksonville named San Mateo, but this is not the area to which you are referring, right?
I'd be happy to refer you you to an agent that is an expert in that area. You may contact me through my website EricSellsJax.com. Keller Williams is a national firm with offices in every major area.

You need to talk with the local residence of that community who can provide answers and addtional details Real estate professionals per code of ethics can’t make comments on where person should live. If you work positively with a real estate agent I am assured solutions to all of your questions could be resolved. http://www.lynn911.com http://www.homes-for-sale-dallas.com
