He is not only extremely thorough and highly professional in performing his work, but also very responsive and knowledgeable in answering questions. I called Anthony to perform the inspection of a home that I am interested in purchasing, following a previous inspection that I had found to be unsatisfactory. I greatly appreciated Anthony's careful attention to detail as he clarified a number of potential structural issues, along with identifyting other concerns that the previous inspector had missed. As a first-time home buyer, I was particularly impressed by the manner in which Anthony explained the areas where I should be focusing attention and he provided invaluable advice on options for remediation and proper maintenance. Once I am hopefully a home owner, I would certainly anticipate using Anthony's report as an informative guide and an educational resource well into the future.

There are many different inspectors, all with different qualities.

Inspectors who are licensed contractors are the most qualified because they have experience in building and repairs. They are certified by the state rather than an inspector who is certified by some association which they pay to be members of.

Objective inspectors work better for the home buyer. Many inspectors are just as interested in getting the deal closed as the seller and agents are.

This inspector is a member of the Independent Home Inspectors Association of North America which means that he does not rely on referrals from agents.

i highly recommend Anthony Scirghio of Quality Home Imspections. I have been a Realtor for over 7 years and have only had positive experiences with him and his company. I would always ask around and get a personal referral. Inspectors today must be licensed by New York State, but it's best to hire someone with local knowledge.

I would not recommend ANTHONY SCIRGHIO from Quality Home Inspections as Vince did. He seemed thorough and knowledgeable at the time of the inspection. After I entered into contract, I discovered that he overlooked a critical flaw in the house that should have been spotted. I followed up followed up with Anthony by email to try and understand how this flaw could have been missed. I was ignored.
