Have an agent listed it in the MLS for you...or you could use postlets, craigslist, etc.

You can go to postlets.com and from there post everywhere. But I always recommend that people use agents. I have seen homeowners lose thousands of dollars in negotiations that could have been avoided with a real estate agent.
Good luck though!

No, but you CAN use Zillow. Trulia will pull from Zillow and it will be listed in both places. Use Craigslist too. Make flyers and pass them out. Use Ebay's listing service as well. Offer a "bonus" for the real estate agent who brings you a buyer. Paying a megar 2% to an agent is much better than the 7% if you list it. That's why agents don't take their clients to for sale by owner homes. They know they won't make a dime because the seller isn't obligated to pay them. Just a thought.

To the best of my knowledge, no. Trulia pulls listings from the local MLS, as they want to ensure the listing is credible. You may want to contact Trulia directly to confirm. You could contact a flat fee real estate firm to discuss options that may fit your needs.

You don't need an MLS number, or an agent. You can enter directly on Trulia here, http://www.trulia.com/submit_listings/enter_details/, or enter through Postlets.com.

Now, keep in mind that 99% of home buyers use a Realtor to help them search for a home. The first thing we do is set them up with a personalized search through the MLS system, which will only include homes listed by Realtors. If you home isn't listed with a Realtor, it will not be available to buyers who are working with one.

It is not impossible to sell your home by owner. Those who do sell by owner sell for 11% less then those sold by a Realtor, and we typically charge 6-7%. So, we essentially save you 4-5%, plus you don't have to deal with the headaches of marketing, fielding calls at all hours of day and night, etc.

If you are interested in sitting down with me and letting me explain this to you in person and give you a free professional valuation of your home, reach out to me. If you do end up selling it on your own, I'd love to help you find your next home.

Hi Sally,
You need an agent to list your home and be on Trulia. The home will need a MLS number. That is how Trulia pulls its properties to put on their website. Please give me a call for further information at 317-513-0865.
I look forward to hearing from you!

You can. Enter home on Postlets.com and it will syndicate to trulia and other sites. You would have better luck selling your home with an agent. Checkout tthese For Sale By Owner Facts before you try to do it yourself. http://www.soldbyavery.net/general/fsbo-facts-for-sale-by-ow…

If you are a for sale by owner the post is not allowed, you can however try blogging about the property; if and when you do list with an agent, he/she can post it for you, ask; or consider any flat fee realty company that feeds into the site.

Trulia prefers verifiable homes for sale be posted through real estate brokers.
Reduces the risk to potential buyers.
Any Inidanapolis REALTOR has access and resources to make your home appear here.
You will be surprised how flexible they can be in helping you acheive your goals.
