It is certainly better than renting. First, get pre-approved. Call 1-866-857-4894 which is Century 21 Mortgage. They will make a same-day decision if you qualify and for how much you can qualify. They will have a pre-approval letter in your hands by fax or by e-mail within about 30 minutes and you never have to leave your couch. How about that for efficiency. Once you know you are qualified then go shopping and find your dream home. Stay within the recommenended price range and don't stretch the budget. Your home is your biggest investment. Make a wise decision. Look for location, good foundation, the roof needs to be in good condition or be prepared to replace it, and check out the heat and air unit.
I always advise buyers to get a thorough home inspection. A good inspection is worth its weight in gold. If I can answer any question for you please e-mail me at alane@c21global.com or call me at 405-747-6950. If you are looking for a home in Stillwater, Oklahoma I would love to be of assistance. HAPPY HOUSE HUNTING

Why do you ask this? Are you concerned about your credit? Do you not have a down payment? Find a mortagage broker who does FHA loans. You can get a home with no down payment and practically no closing cost. Find the right mortagage broker and the right real estate agent and the answer is yes.

Absolutely! Have the proper pre-approval, the right downpayment and, of course, the right agent to assist you.

On the other hand, if you are representing yourself, you must make it clear on the Agreement Of Sale that you are a licensed real estate agent. That's the law.

Happy hunting!

Are you asking this because there is a certain problem? Documenting income? Residency? Credit score? I would be happy to see if I could get you approved, as would many other Mortgage Specialists on this site. Bottom line, talk to a professional with more specific information. Good Luck!

I'm not too clear on your question. Can you buy a house? Sure, as long as you can afford it.

Please provide more information.

First you have to get pre-approved. Find a local mortgage provider and check it out.
