Understand that HOA are omnipotent fiefdoms that are run, (usually) by residents for their own diversion and enjoyment. They are poorly regulated by States, and often tyranical in their methods.
They be oppressive and arbitrary; limiting visitors, pets, parking, your garage door, landscaping and a lot more.
If they choose to charge you a different fee than your neighbor.....

Sorry if I sugar-coated it.

HOA fees can not be negotiated. HOA fees can be different for each individual unit given the size and location. A good rule of thumb is the bigger the unit the more expensive the HOA fees will be on the unit. Also, if it s a penthouse corner unit that can raise the HOA amount as well.

Condo fees/HOA fees are set by the Association and cannot be negotiated. Some communities will have a uniform fee for all units and others vary by size of unit etc.

HOA fees are not negotiable on an ongoing basis. The best way to verify dollar amounts would be to contact the association directly for up to date information. Some communities have different fees based on square footage or number of bedrooms.
