Can BOA say they approve a short sale and then send an approval letter minus the sellers closing cost which was in the contract?

Yumika, YEP they sure can....BOA unfortunately has a horrible reputation in our industry of "mishandling" the short sale process...to put it lightly.

Much success to you

Absolutely! Their "approval" is considered a counteroffer to you. They will consider the contract presented only they will not pay the closing costs requested.
