Buying real estate while H1B, change of status?
I am wondering what happens if I buy some kind of real estate (let's say a house) while I am on H1B but evetually I lose that status? Thanks!

FIRST ANSWER
Hi Stefan,
We bought a house when we had an H1B visa. Eventually we got Green Cards and now we have Citizenship. If you don't get the green cards and you lose H1B then you lose the right to be in the country. You can keep the house - it can be a vacation home or investment - but the official line would be that you wouldn't be entitled to stay in the country without some kind of visa or resident alien status.
