West Boca is your answer. Waters edge elementary is A rated school and offers a gifted program, loggers run is middle school also A rated and west Boca high also A rated school with the only high school in fla that has four accredited academy's. Boca winds and Boca falls you can walk to all three schools. Can.t get much better than that

Dear Jojo:
West Boca High School, Loggers Run Middle School and Waters Edge Elementary School located at Loggers Run community in Boca Raton are very good schools. My son went to West Boca High and my daughter and my son are now in 5th and 4th grade at Waters Edge elementary. I really recommend those schools, the community is located in the zip code 33428 of Boca Raton, I am resident of Loggers Run for 12 years.

if they are gifted boca has good schools, especially loggers run. but my son has aspergers and I had to send him to a private school 40mins away cause public schools dont get how to teach these kids.

We moved from Boston in 1987 with 2 boys ages 2-3. We chose Parkland over Boca for many reasons but mostly public schools and private bigger yards. The boys were tested gifted at an early age and we feel they got a private school education for a public school price. Forbes rated Parkland schools #1 in the US for bang for the real estate buck !!!! My wife teaches AP American History at MSD and has written recommendation letters for all Ivy League schools where her kids get routinely accepted. Call with any other questions.

Dear Jojo,

It sounds like your children's education will be a big part of your decision making and for that you should be applauded. You will find when researching schools in Palm Beach County that three of the highest rated public systems will be in Boca Raton, Wellington and Jupiter. I am not sure how tied you are to Boca but if Jupiter is a possibility certainly worth exploration. You won't be close to the beach in Wellington but housing prices are very favorable and it too offers a high quality of life but inland a bit.

One of my favorite sites when it comes to school ratings is http://www.greatschools.org and if you have an iPhone check out their app which is also a fantastic tool. I love their site, use it often, and highly recommend it to my clients who are interested in finding the best schools for their children's education. GreatSchools profiles public, private and charter schools and has a great format for readers to leave comments. Besides their rating system the comment section is the best place to go to get real life feedback from children who attend the schools as well as their parents.

You might also want to check out the Florida Department of Education School accountability reports which are also a wealth of information and can be accessed with this link;

After doing your homework on-line I always recommend parents visit the school live and in person prior to making any purchasing decisions in that district and if you need assistance let me know as I would be happy to show you around. When looking for gated communities in your price range in Boca you will find that most of the opportunities will be located between the Florida Turnpike to the west and I-95 to the east. Not sure if a private country club lifestyle is in play but you have many options worth exploring.
Clearly defining your housing objectives considering size of home, how many garage spaces, size of yard required, private pool required, acceptable association fees, etc. is a great place to start. If you would like me to send you some current opportunities please feel free to contact e at your convenience and I will be very happy to put that together.

If you are not 100% tied in to Boca you might take a serious look at the Jupiter area. You might enjoy a brief article I wrote about the north county area and you can access it at the link below;

I hope this information is helpful and if I can be of service to you and your family in any way please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Hi Jojo,

As the others have said, the Boca Raton public high schools are some of the best in the country. People move to Boca just so they can send their children to the best schools.

In High School, if the children are in the advanced programs, they will also have the ability to do a "dual enrollment". Dual enrollment will have the children going to college for some of their classes. This not only expands their scope of knowledge it puts them in with a group of students who will encourage them to push harder. My daughter did a dual enrollment while in high school and it gave her a great edge on her ability to go out of town for college and be disciplined enough to make Dean's list every semester. She also entered her Freshman year of college with about 20 credits under her belt.

If I can be of further service please contact me directly.

Hi Jojo

I just answered your other post.
But here is the real scoop. Boca schools are mostly all A+ and very good.
But it would be even better for your kids to apply to a gifted program.
A lot of parents told us that the difference in quality of teachers is night and day compared to non-gifted. Feel free to call me for more scoop :)

Yes, Jojo. I suggest you give me a call and I will arrange a phone call between you and the owners of our local Sotheby's International Realty office. Both owners have lived here for 35 years and put many kids through the local schools. Let us give you hands on knowledge.

High Schools are very good. Spanish River High and Boca High School are considered the best, but honestly even if you are zoned for a particular high school and your child applies for a program within the other school you want to go you get to go to that school. I grew up in Boca Raton and went to Spanish River High. I still live in Spanish River High district and my kids are 7, 4 and 1.

I hope that helps. If you want to ask me specific questions you may certainly contact me at 561-756-3104 or you can email me at dserle@searchpalmbeachhomes.com. Boca has great schools and I am sure you will be happy here.

For school information, you need to search online for City Data. That way you get the school scores. Once you have that, look for feedback and comments. That should give you a rough idea. Then talk to the schools directly and see if they have what you are looking for.
Good Luck!
