There are some very good neighborhoods in San Antonio that will fit both you and your husband's needs and price range; Alamo Ranch, Helotes, Shavano Park, Castle Hills, to name a few. If you would like, you can send me your criteria and I will set you up on automatic notification with my MLS that will provide you with information on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, on all new listings as they become available.
Looking forward to assisting you in your search...

I particularly like the North Central area as many of the schools are "Exemplary". This was important to us as we had school aged kids. However, it is also important for resale whether or not you have kids. Another great area is the Boerne area and Alamo Heights area. Boerne has some highly rated schools as well. I have found that the Alamo Heights area schools are hit and miss as far as the ratings as in you run into different school districts.
As far as the price rang of $200-300K, you might be able to find more homes in that range in the North Central area as both Boerne and Alamo Heights are getting a little more pricey, but you can find homes in that price range in them, they just might not be as big.
If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to give me a call.
