Hi Jojo.

Boca Raton has lots of homes for you to choose from because most of the public schools are A-rated anyhow. So based on the fact that you have excellent schools throughout, you can concentrate on finding a great home in gated community with your criteria.

There are currently between 60-70 homes that fit your criteria, but many of them are in country clubs, and I'm not sure if this is something you'd like or not.

Please feel free to contact us, our company has over 900 listings and we can find you exactly what you're looking for as soon as possible.

You may want to consider Parkland (borders Boca to the south) which has the best public schools and you can get a 4/3 in that price range or less, with more land and very nice gated or non gate communities.

Hi Jojo,

Boca Raton and Delray Beach are full of gated communities with great public schools in your price range. I mention Delray Beach because several of the communities are zoned for Boca schools.

What you are asking for is doable. These communities have large homes with good schools, perfect for families.

Happy Holidays!

Parkside in Boca Raton. Gated and beautiful. I lived there 12 yrs ago. Only problem is that you can hear the train when is passes at 12 and 6.
My wife said she got used to it and 'nenver heard it', but I did. Just a minor problem when judging that beautiful guard gated place.

Dear Jojo,

It sounds like your children's education will be a big part of your decision making and for that you should be applauded. You will find when researching schools in Palm Beach County that three of the highest rated public systems will be in Boca Raton, Wellington and Jupiter. I am not sure how tied you are to Boca but if Jupiter is a possibility certainly worth exploration. You won't be close to the beach in Wellington but housing prices are very favorable and it too offers a high quality of life but inland a bit.

One of my favorite sites when it comes to school ratings is http://www.greatschools.org and if you have an iPhone check out their app which is also a fantastic tool. I love their site, use it often, and highly recommend it to my clients who are interested in finding the best schools for their children's education. GreatSchools profiles public, private and charter schools and has a great format for readers to leave comments. Besides their rating system the comment section is the best place to go to get real life feedback from children who attend the schools as well as their parents.

You might also want to check out the Florida Department of Education School accountability reports which are also a wealth of information and can be accessed with this link;

http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/default.asp

After doing your homework on-line I always recommend parents visit the school live and in person prior to making any purchasing decisions in that district and if you need assistance let me know as I would be happy to show you around. When looking for gated communities in your price range in Boca you will find that most of the opportunities will be located between the Florida Turnpike to the west and I-95 to the east. Not sure if a private country club lifestyle is in play but you have many options worth exploring.
Clearly defining your housing objectives considering size of home, how many garage spaces, size of yard required, private pool required, acceptable association fees, etc. is a great place to start. If you would like me to send you some current opportunities please feel free to contact e at your convenience and I will be very happy to put that together.

If you are not 100% tied in to Boca you might take a serious look at the Jupiter area. You might enjoy a brief article I wrote about the north county area and you can access it at the link below;

I hope this information is helpful and if I can be of service to you and your family in any way please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Hi Jojo,

Boca Raton has many lovely gated communities. One thing to consider is if you want a "country club" community with golf, tennis, restaurant etc. Or do you want just a gated community without all the bells and whistles? There is also a lovely "country club" community with homes on large lots that doesn't require you join the club.

In the price range you quote you should be able to purchase a lovely home.

Something I forgot to address in my previous answer to your question about schools: Boca Raton also has several highly regarded private schools. Many people feel their children will have a chance to meet others with like minded parents.

If I can be of further service I would welcome your questions.

Hello Jojo

Central Boca Raton and West Boca Raton both have A+ rated schools with gated communities that offer lots of amenities and security. Some require an equity membership and some don't. I see that you care about your kids education more then golf membership, otherwise you would be asking about golf courses. I too have kids and my wife and I were very thorough in picking the right schools for our kids. I would love to share with you our research and help you with your choices.

I am a broker at Find Home 1-2-3, Inc and will make your house hunting an easy and enjoyable experience. I live in Boca Raton and can tell you more about Boca communities when we talk on the phone or in person. As always buyers never pay a realtor's commission, so there is no obligation.

Feel free to contact me anytime.

Hello Jojo,
Based on the information you provided there are several communities that would meet your requirements. You should work with your Boca Raton Realtor® and determine which of the available properties are the best fit for you and your family. In order to help you determine whether a property that you like is suitable for your family you can do a search to find additional information about the schools.
The following are some of the links my clients have used in the past:

we live in Symphony Bay, it has lots of young families and the houses run around 400k. Our youngest son goes to hs and is picked up every am in front of the gate. Our hoa is stable and our community is very well taken care of. There r lots of lovely young communities throughout Boca; Good luck!

JoJo,

I grew up in Boca Raton, and my favorite area is near the Town Center Mall off of St. Andrews and between Glades and Yamato.

Those are older homes, but some are upgraded.

I would say these would be the subdivisions I would look at as we are in similar situations.

Seasons, Woodfield Hunt Club (not country club because there are mandatory dues) , Estancia, Azura, possibly The Bridges but it is in Delray, but currently zoned with Boca schools
