Best CT cities to buy? House hunting in all of CT (well, most of it)

Asked by Samanthaf, Connecticut Tue Jan 22, 2013

I don't want to be North of Southington. What towns have great schools and taxes between 5k-8k/year? Looking for a 3/2 (not a raised ranch) on at least .5 acre in a neighborhood community to grow our family. And advice would be appreciated! Price range is around 300k. Not interested in foreclosures or short sales.

I am not finding anything in our price range in Fairfield, unless the home needs a ton of work. Also the taxes tend to be very high there, no?
