Bachelor Doc moving to Austin - what are the good neighborhoods to live in..?

Asked by AJ8, Newport Beach, CA Sat Sep 15, 2012

Looking for open and upcoming areas.
Don’t know yet where I will be working - will decide based on where I live.
Place should be safe, lots of restaurants, close to mass transit, etc
Any suggestions?

Licensed real estate agents can help you with finding a place that has those attributes, except for the question about judging safety. However we can refer you to sites that have statistics you can use to evaluate neighborhoods.
Agents take many hours of training seems to make sure they know of these ethical and legal standards for agents.

AJ8, this will greatly depend on your price range and type or property you're considering (condo, townhouse, detached single family residence, etc).
