Arrange for a showing

My original question wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I'm looking at a property listed on your web site and can't find a way to schedule for a showing. nor does it list a realtor to contact. So, I guess the question would be "How do I arrange for a showing of this specific property?"

Sorry, my mistake. I did get the distinct impression that the advantage of using your agent is that he is a Pure Buyers Agent; and I guess I wrongly assumed that he would be able to devote all his time serving his buyers to find the right property. .

If you would have just clarified that your agent not only serves buyers, he also servers his investors in helping them rent out the properties the investors bought, negotiate lease terms and option to buy deals and perhaps other services he might provide, I would not have made that incorrect assumption.

Seems to me that not only does he help one investor to rent one property, he handles quite a few rental properties, at least from his Craigslist. I guess my worry of his trying to sell those properties to buyers is not sound then.

Not saying that your agent is not doing a great job, but a little clarification upfront helps a lot.

As for me, I don't claim that I am a PURE Buyer Agent, but I do claim that when I work for my buyer, I am 100% my buyer's agent and I work with their goals, whether it's home or for investment or getting a house with option to buy.

I also help them rent out the property if needed. However, when it goes to property management, I turn that over to property management company. .

I stand corrected, as usual.

If Ms. Barry had taken time to find out that Lou Russo is a Buyer and Investor agent who part of his job is to also find renters for his Buyers of Investment property possibly this function is foreign to Ms. Barry. Also many of Lou Russo's investors possible will sell there homes one day to renters should they want to buy THAT particular home. Possibly Ms. Barry's business as an agent has it's limits. Every rental is option to buy if a tenant wishes to buy and seller wishes to sell.

I don't know why Cindi got a thumbs down for suggesting contacting and agent to view the property. I was about to suggest the same thing.

Well, I got curious, so I checked. Mr. Russo's PURE Buyer's Agent, is on Craigslist advertising rentals with Option to Buy.

I would be worried that the agent might be too busy handling rentals and persuading you to do an Option to Buy (which, by the way, is not the best way to purchase a property) instead of working on 100% Buyer representation. I am sure none of those would be Mr. Russo's property.

Jan - Your best bet is to get referrals from your friends / colleagues; interview them and decide one to work with. They will be able to schedule showings for you and bring you to not only this specific house and any others that might fit your criteria.

Try it, it's a Realtors Job to help you find the best property for you.

Best,

keep in mind websites are the work of the listing agent who works for the seller. smart money says YOU get YOUR own Buyer Agent who will arrange for you to get LIVE real data from the MLS that the agents use and not upto 3 month old website data. Your Buyer Agent will not steer you to a particular listing because a PURE buyers agent does not have listings but LIC. to help you buy the best house for you and NOT whose sign is on the Lawn !!! So ask when you call a real estate company " I would like a Pure Buyer Agent" If you are interested in the Charleston Area you can borrow mine who handles all my investments there 800 633 9275 ext 3059 or 843 810-3919 say Robert from LA Calif suggested I call you. You won't regret it.

Hi Jan,

If Trulia shows a property as 'For Sale' we will display a link to the agent or broker's website on our property detail page. If you click on the link to see more photos you'll go to that site as well and you should be able to find contact information for the Realtor there.

If you don't find this information on the listing then we must not currently show that home as 'For Sale' on our site in which case you'll probably want to follow Cindy's advice.

Best Wishes,

Contact a Realtor and give them the address of the home. They can assist you in arranging a time to see the property. It won't cost you a thing to have them show you the property. If you need a recommendation on a good Realtor in your area, contact me offline. Good luck!!
