instead of looking for where to buy just buy from other lien holders

It isn't free long term, but tax-lien-database.com has many counties from across the country available to access. They'll research the information for you and let you know when it's available (including auction listings and newspaper information). It's $9.99, but the first month free so it's worth a try.

Laurel, Most of them are advertised each year in the local papers; Monroe County would be the Democrat and Chronicle. You could also contact the county clerk or town clerk in area you are interested in.
