Are there open houses in Denver?
Where we live, all for sale houses are open on Sundays. If so, how would we get a listing of these? Thanks!

Many consumers find just driving around exploring neighborhoods is a good way to find an open house.

While open houses do represent a way to see houses in neighborhoods in which you have interest, not all listings are held open (at least not in Denver). Many agents feel that open houses are a waste of the seller's time, as a very low percentage of homes are actually sold off an open house.
IF you find a quality Realtor, and work with that agent to hone your list of house "must haves" needs and wants, the Realtor can do all the work for you; greatly narrow the field to those homes that specifically meet your requirements, and show these to you, even if they are not held open on the weekend. Hope this is helpful. The sites listed in other posts will give you many of the homes held open, and simply driving neighborhoods (a good idea anyway) to look for signs will be even better. Dear Christina,
I have found that Craigslist is a great way to find open houses throughout metro Denver and outlying suburbs. Many weekend open houses are listed on Fridays onhttp:// www.Craigslist.com. Please call me if you are interested in relocating to Denver and I would be happy to show you attractive homes in your price range. Also, buying a home in Colorado is drastically different than in California where you are an escrow state and we are a funding at the table state. Hope that helps you. Hi,
Where do you live where ALL houses are open on Sundays...as Denver in NOT like that. Why do you want to look at open houses? Wouldn't you be better off getting pre-approved for a mortgage loan, and have a competent Realtor show you homes and home styles you liked near "where" you wanted to live - with the specific features you wanted? The best site where you can find open houses is on OPENHOUSE.COM. Most of the newspapers will not have all of the open houses in an area because a lot of agents will not pay to advertise an open house.

Christina,
You can check the event calendar on denver.craigslist.org, or the open house link at http://www.postnewsads.com/openhouses/ But if you know the area in which you want to search, you can just drive around on either a Saturday or a Sunday and follow the signs. Do you plan on being in the Denver area soon? I'd love to take you around. I also offer a wonderful MLS search tool which works really well for out-of-state buyers. It's free and comes with no obligation. Give me a call so we can discuss in greater detail how I can help you find what you are looking for.
