Mountain Lakes is a wonderful train line town in Morris County offering blue ribbon schools, great lifestyle and homes that hold their values. Yes there are buyers interested in this town, there always are.

"Many" is a relative term.
There are buyers out there in all towns, but the one common denominator is .....the houses they are viewing have to be priced well and "right" in order to sell. Overpriced homes will sit, whether they are in Mountain Lakes or any town. If someone wants to sell in today's market, they need to be very realistic in the price that put on their home. What sold 6 months ago has little bearing on what is selling now.

Even in this tentative market, however, buyers may still find competition for well priced homes....it is istill possible for multiple offers to occur, so any buyer has to be prepared and knowledgeable.

Working with an agent will give you an advantage, as their guidance can give you the competitive edge you will need.

I guess there is at least one buyer looking in the area of Mountain lakes now - you. I wonder if you are asking because you want to know how much negotiability there is on homes for sale or just as a general question?
In general, there are always buyers everywhere. It is still a buyers market since there are more homes for sale than buyers. With that said, Montain Lakes is a wonderful town with excellent school system and wonderful location making it very desirable. Right now there are only 38 homes listed in Mountain lakes prices vary from $425,000 to $2,199,000.

As of today there are 9 homes under contract and one in attorney review - considering there are only 38 homes available I'd say yes.
