Hi Raj!

If I may ask, what are your reason(s) for looking in the Westlake area? Is the Academy or the community?
The reason I ask is, according to my research, you can barely purchase land in Westlake at 200k.
The least expensive home I found was $500k and it was built in 1975.

I did find 7 in Trophy Club - which has already been suggested to you. Here is the link for the homes I found in Trophy Club - in the event Trophy Club is a consideration.

Also, Westlake and Trophy Club no longer qualify for USDA financing (as of the 2010 census).

I noticed your current location is Plano. Will you be relocating to this side of the metroplex anytime soon?

Please contact me at puniwai@fathomrealty.com. Allow me to complete due diligence in responding to your concerns and become your personal Realtor. I live in Far North Fort Worth. Westlake, Northlake,Southlake,Trophy Club, Roanoke, Haslet, Eagle Mountain Lake and all of North Fort Worth are my neighbors. I will find what you want at the price you want. I believe in treating clients as family and making myself available based on your schedule.

I look forward to your response.

Best Regards,

Near Westlake, I would suggest Trophy Club or North Fort Worth/Keller area. Good prices, good homes, good neighborhoods, great schools. In Westlake proper $200,000 buys a lot....homes are more in the $1mil -$5mil range. You can check out homes under $200,000 for sale in Trophy Club at the link below. Let me know if you would like to see any of them.

Hi Raj,

Have you considered Roanoke? Roanoke is a short distance from Westlake and Northwest ISD is a good school district as well. There is a new community close to Hwy 114 and Hwy 377 called Briarwyck. I found one listing that is a pre-owned home listed for $219K. It's 4 bds-2.5 bths w/ 2,400+ SF. Or brand new homes in that community start @ $172K. Tax rates are also low @ 2.17. I would love the opportunity to assist you and find you a new place to call home. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Make it a Blessed Day!

Raj,
it would really depend on how you define "near" and "good." If near is defined as a 10 to 15 minute drive, then the answer is yes. But finding a $200K home IN Westlake will be extremely slim...those homes seldom start out in the $400's. .

Answer is no. $200K x 5 should get you a home. Southlake around $250K min. Trophy Club would be my first choice closest to this area in this price range.

I'll help any way I can.

Sincerely,

Thanks for all the responses. I am looking for homes in the 200K range within a 10-15 minute drive from Westlake, in a good/exemplary school district.

There are some good buys throughout the Austin area including the Westlake Rollinwood area. However everything depends on what exactly you are looking for. My suggestion, would be to log onto my website, select the Free Home Search tab and play around with a few variations of what you might be looking for. Once you have an idea of your interest parmeters send them my way and we'll narrow things down to your specific interest(s).

Raj, Westlake is a great community! Homes, schools, shopping and location in the DFW Metroplex are all factors which make it a great place to call home. And yes, there are certainly some great finds in the $200k range.

Yes, there are some great homes. My team just sold a property on an acre built in 2008 for less than $200,000. My team can help you find just the right property-we know the area.
