Yes! There are many ranch-style homes being built in the Raleigh area. To see some, just log onto ZipRealty.com and enter my name, Brenda Porter, as agent and you will be able to customize your search to meet your criteria, whatever that may be. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Sharon, there are many options. The best way to find the best home to meet your needs is to work with a great Buyers Agent. I sit down with my Buyers and go through a through Buyer Consultation so I can do all the research and leg work and then show you just the homes that really work for you.

Other than what others have already told you Centex also has one level plans at Highland Creek. There are also great brick ranches that have been completely updates in the North Hills & North Ridge areas.

Whatever you are looking for I'm sure we can find it out there. Feel free to log on to my website and start your own home search.

Take Care & Good luck,
Shelia

You don't see much in the way of new brick going, maybe brick fronts but not all brick. There are a couple of neighborhoods , especially on the east side of Raleigh that are almost completely comprised of all brick homes. They don't come on the market often and when they do, they go pretty quickly. May I recommend that you use the home search tool on my website shown below. You can create a search of what you are looking for and as soon as something becomes available, since the site is linked directly to the MLS, you will be notified. If I can be of any personal assistance, don't hesitate to ask. http://www.RaleighHomeSite.com

We have a building lot in Wendell that is suitable for a ranch style home. Here is one that I just put under contract in the neighborhood: http://search.jasonbgraves.com/1-1923061/643-Rockbank-Loop-Wendell

This was a ranch with a bonus room and office up.

Yes, as the boomers 'age' they are asking for more ranch or bungalow style homes so we are seeing an increase in the market. Carolina Preserve is a 55 plus area as is Heritage Pines. Toll Brothers, Brier Creek has some etc....you can click on my website and do a search or contact me to help you with the search. I just had clients purchase a bungalow yesterday, a sweet place in Cary.

Yes, this is a building style that is finally gaining popularity in the area, If you're open to Wake Forest, Heritage is a community that has really nice custom built Ranch homes from upper $200 to 400's. I'm working with two buyers currently and have had very good experience with both builders. Hope this helps! John

One story and main floor master floor plans are our most popular styles! We also create custom designs, and see this trend continuing. So yes, ranch homes ARE being built. Just depends on what you're looking for!

There are ranch homes being built throughout the Triangle. Some are in retirements communities, and some are in neighborhoods meeting a variety of family needs. For example there is the Carolina Preserve, a Del Webb Active 55 community, and Briar Chapel in Chatham County (not far from Raleigh) with "Villas".

Builders beilieve that buyers want smaller homes, and that the Boomers want one-level living!

Sharon,

Great question and yes there are builders constructing ranch style homes. One that comes to mind is Adams Homes. They started building in southern Wake and Johnston counties and I recently heard a rumor that they have bought a track of land near Rolesville. They are known for building all brick ranch homes from about 1600 to a little over 3000 sqft and if needed 3 car garages. Please feel free to call me if you would like more information at 919-610-5203.

Yes! All throughout! The price is determined by the location and size. Some with/without a garage. In some neighborhoods one can be completed within 3-4 months. Again, it depends on cost.
