Go to your county - I believe it is Martin County - and you will be able to find out how tax forfeited properties are sold. If you wish, you could probably work with a local realtor who would act as a buyers' agent for you and help you find and negotiate a purchase. Often counties auction these properties and usually they have a specific process for this - sometimes there is a certain bid amount required to be placed in cash with the county prior to the auction.
