Are there any downpayment assistance programs in east texas?

Check out whether the area qualifies for the USDA Rural Loan Program. If the property qualifies you can get 100% financing. You should contact a reputable loan/mortgage originator. It may take a little more time, but may work for you depending on were you are looking. I would think east Texas may have many areas that qualify since there are quite a few in my area of southeastern Massachusetts. Good Luck!
