If you haven't bought a home yet, there is a new program for Delaware Teachers from the Delaware State Housing Authority for teachers that are in Delaware Talent Cooperative. You can get more information and apply for the program at the following site:

There is a video to explain the program as well. It gives teachers that qualify a lower interest rate.

Also, check out Homes for Heroes at http://www.homesforheroes.com This organization helps teachers clergy, nurses, doctors, police, fireman, military and veterans buy homes through reduced Realtor fees, lower closing costs, lower title costs, and applies weather buying or listing a home.

Very cool. I see many experts have answered your question. Did you buy anything yet? Finding the right expert to help you matters! Timing matters! In particular, if interest rates change 1%, that equates to a 10% difference in your loan amount. (Significant? YES). Newark DE is my home and if you have questions, add me to the list of people who will help you. I have two blogs that might be timely for you --- http://willwebberhomes.com/location-location-location/ --- This one might be most useful. Or call 302-368-5400. Newark DE? I have lived within one mile of Main Street since the 70's.
