Asking, Realtors are prohibited from directing clients to certain areas etc based upon race, religion, ...we can "descriminate" based upon age however as evidenced by our SRES designation which indicates additional training to assist older clients. Often we are asked by clients to only show areas of certain color or ethnic back ground which we can not do. I suggest before you select your agent you visit the areas you are considering. If there is a church synagogue temple etc that appeals to you attend a service. You can certainly ask if any members are agents though this may not have any bearing on their expertise as an agent. I respectfully suggest you look for an agent with knowledge of the area you seek and expertise. If you want to discuss their personal beliefs etc dont be surprised if they are reluctant to work with you.
