Are Key Biscayne Buyers asking their realtors for homes with better indoor air quality?

Asked by Juliana Touma, Miami Beach, FL Tue Mar 19, 2013

What solutions are realtors giving their clients when asked for homes with High indoor air quality (in other words the house won't make my family sick)

Since Key Biscayne is a coastal community it gets a nice breeze, one solution is to provide ventilation with operable windows. Unfortunately the new construction on island has a lot more fixed windows than operable especially in large family rooms where more than one person uses at a time.

Juliana, I've seen many homes, and never had a single customer ask about indoor air quality, other than in the context of chinese drywall or visible mold. Indoor air quality is a significant issue, and probably consumers should be more aware of the problem and ways to mitigate it.
