Anyone know what the commute on Route 16 into Brookline or so is like from Medway in the a.m.?

We're looking into both Medway and Holliston, but we work in Brookline. Wondering how long the commute might take if we leave around 7....

Road conditions, knowledge of the "back roads" and short cuts will be a factor.
For the next week or so, you might watch the morning news and pay attention to the traffic reports that describe that area.
You may start to see the pattern for problem spots.
Then goo gle an address and get directions to your work.
Goo gle will estimate the time - usually without regard to delays.
By dragging the line of travel on the google map, you can see how using the "back roads" and short cuts might affect the commute.

Route 16 moves nicely from Medway thru Wellesley - and even after that - There are a couple of bottle necks and ways you'll learn to avoid them - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised -

I go from Medway to Brookline quite often - with relatives on Washington St - It's about a 35-45 min commute depending on traffic -

45 minutes.

Here is every property on the market in each location presented on a map so you can see proximity to Brookline:

Hope that helps!

I live in Medway and work in Brookline at a school, have been making the commute mostly on rt 16 since 2008. For the distance from Brookline the area is a great option. All back roads and fairly commute time doesn't vary too much as most of the major high ways can.

Oh I should have said I do backroads to 128 then pick up route 9 to head to Brookline in the 35-45 min time frame...

Thank you (to all of you)---Marcia, is this in morning commute time or at other times of the day? If it's 45 minutes at the outside, that's not a problem at all---towards an hour and it's a bigger problem, as I am a teacher and can't be late! :)
